Raleigh,
N.C. – April 1, 2003– QlikTech Inc., a
provider of powerful and rapidly
deployable business intelligence
software, today announced that its
long-standing partnership with Dendrite
International, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRTE),
which develops and delivers solutions
for the life sciences industry, has been
expanded to include Dendrite’s new
ScripMaxIQ™ product offering.
ScripMaxIQ takes advantage of QlikTech’s
QlikView, a new generation of powerful
business intelligence and analysis
software, to enable pharmaceutical
companies to increase sales and market
share by identifying opportunities to
develop powerful competitive strategies
based on specific patterns of
prescribing events. These events are
determined through analysis of
Dendrite’s longitudinal prescription
data—the largest and richest
prescription data source available to
the U.S. pharmaceutical industry.
“The use
of the QlikView business intelligence
engine in ScripMaxIQ enables us to
provide clients with powerful analysis
capabilities and a highly intuitive user
interface,” said Michael Barnes,
Dendrite Vice President of Business
Intelligence Solutions. “As the industry
is looking to make the most of its
considerable investments in sales force
resources, we are seeing strong interest
in this powerful new application.”
QlikView, which has been used by
Dendrite since 1998, is also used to
power Dendrite’s leading ForceAnalyzer™
solution. The pharmaceutical industry’s
most universally deployed field
analytics solution with over 20,000 user
licenses sold worldwide, ForceAnalyzer
is a flexible, easy-to-use data viewing
and analysis tool that enables
pharmaceutical companies to manage
critical sales force activities.
“I’m
delighted to see our relationship with
Dendrite deepening,” commented Christer
Berg, president and CEO of QlikTech Inc.
“QlikView’s powerful analytics
capabilities help ScripMaxIQ provide
drug companies with insight into product
usage patterns, such as persistence,
compliance, new starts, and brand
switches, which in turn allow them to
evaluate market conditions and develop
more effective sales and marketing
strategies.”
