Deploys QlikTech’s QlikView

solution. The new implementation of
QlikView will benefit PEI’s sales and
inventory management by ensuring timely

supplier to develop each reporting
procedure,” said Brian Meaney, finance
director of PEI. “But this was costly,
time-consuming and inflexible - and a
real barrier to deeper investigation of
company data. We were also running two
separate reports every month using
Crystal reporting, which needed a degree
of technical expertise to produce the
right results,” he added.
“In just two days we replaced our
previous reporting solution with
QlikView. Our salespeople now have all
their customer information in one place,
which is fantastic.”
PEI’s
business has changed over recent years
and the company was no longer able to
apply new criteria easily to existing
statistical information. QlikView’s
live data application now enables PEI to
use independent tables for information
that was previously inaccessible. Going
forward, PEI has plans in place to widen
access to QlikView throughout the
company as well as offer reports for
remote sales personnel via the Web.
