ABM Systems recently ran a joint breakfast meeting in partnership with Qlik to explore and discuss how analytics is being used by global insurance organisations to improve efficiency and increase profits.

The event was hosted by Simon Kirby the Director of SI Industry Solutions, Financial Services at Qlik, Greg Clarke our CEO and Campbell Brown Client Strategy Director at ABM.

That equates to 23 full-time employees. Now they didn’t lose those full-time employees, they took them from manipulating data to asking and answering questions which is what they wanted them to be doing. They actually made them into analysts rather than data crunchers.”

Scott Verral, Head of Data Analytics and Research at HCF referenced the importance of technology and how it supports all of the people associated with an organisation; team members, suppliers, customers and potential customers. At the end of the day, it’s people who are either generating or consuming the insights generated from data. As Scott says, it’s all about the people.

Melanie Wind, General Manager, Data & Analytics at iCare spoke of unlocking insights to improve customer outcomes. She speaks of how their company has moved away from a numbers-based way of thinking to a more knowledge-based approach underpinned by data analytics resulting in optimal outcomes for their customers.
