The ABM Systems team run a fortnightly charity lunch where two staff members cook for the rest of our Sydney office. It’s been a great project and in 5 rounds at the end of 2019, we raised $950 for Camp Quality.
With the recent fires up and down the eastern seaboard of Australia, there was no surprise that our new beneficiary for 2020 is the NSW Rural Fire Service. Brad Shields and Darren North cooked up a beautiful and healthy lunch on Monday and the whole team got behind the initiative. We raised $744 from staff donations and the company matched this, bringing this weeks donation to a total of $1,488.
It was a fabulous meal. Who said healthy food had to be boring! The Mediterranean Three Bean Quinoa Salad (recipe courtesy of Two Peas and Their Pod) was so popular that the recipe was then shared with all staff. Here it is so you can make it for yourself and your family.
We will continue to run our Fortnightly Charity Lunches. It’s a great opportunity to bring the whole team together, learn new cultural and culinary delights and bring home the importance of caring for community.
Here’s hoping the only way is up for 2020. We’ll do our bit to try to make it better.
